Evaluation and Assessment

Classes Prep & I

There will be no formal Assessments / Examinations.

Classes II & III

There will be an Assessment in every subject at the end of both the Terms. A Continuous Internal Assessment will also be conducted at random. In English & Hindi Language weightage will be given for Communication Skills.

Classes IV & V

There will be an Assessment in every subject at the end of both the Terms. A Continuous Internal Assessment and Surprise Tests will also be conducted at random. In English & Hindi Language weightage will be given for Communication Skills.

CLASSES VI - X

  • CCE or Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation methodology as specified by the CBSE is comprised of four formative assessments FA1, FA2, FA3 & FA4 and two summative assessments SA1 & SA2.
  • Examinations and the Criteria for promotions.
  • Evaluation of Academic Subjects in Classes VI to X.
  • Six assessments are proposed:

FIRST TERM

Formative Assessment-1 10% April-May
Formative Assessment-2 10% July-August FA1+FA2=20%
Summative Assessment-1 30% September SA1=30%

SECOND TERM

Formative Assessment-3 10% October-November
Formative Assessment-4 10% January-February FA3+FA4=20%
Summative Assessment-2 30% February-March SA2=30%
Formative Assessments (FA) = FA1 + FA2 + FA3 + FA4 = 40%
Summative Assessments (SA) = SA1 + SA2 = 60%

CLASSES IX-X

Students must get a minimum of 25% in SA1 & SA2 separately and an aggregate of 33% for promotion. PSA marks are considered for FA4 of the subjects Science, S.St., Maths and English.

Notes:

  • Weightage of 50% from 1st term and weightage of 50% from the final term will be considered for promotion to the next class.
  • Class XI students must pass in theory paper separately to be eligible for promotion. (wherever they have the practical subjects)
